What is your role at Genflow?
As Head of Recruitment, my role is to scale and grow the team here at Genflow across all of our verticals.

The highlight of your time at Genflow so far?
The one that really stands out is hiring and onboarding 15 new people in April. Myself and several members of the team worked extremely hard to ensure that everyone that joined and started had a seamless experience... sort of... mostly.

How has the pandemic impacted your job and the way you're hiring?
Now that everything has gone remote, we're onboarding most of the team virtually. We've had to create new processes and ensure that they're followed perfectly to ensure that every new starter gets a proper welcome and has a good induction process. All interviews are now done via video which has its own pros and cons. Having an interview from the comfort of your own home/remote office is great but it's really hard to get a proper feel for a person and vice versa.

What are you most excited about in the coming months?
More growth, both domestically and abroad. We have tripled in size since the pandemic hit and even though we're starting to move out of the lockdown our hiring is not slowing down.

Biggest advice/tip for someone looking for a job on LinkedIn?
Follow up with a message or an email and try to keep it as original as possible. I notice the applicants who drop me a message just in case I've missed their application, and it's very easy to say the standard 'hey I applied for that job you posted, look at me!' but instead try sending something a bit more personal where your own personality shines.

Your favourite creator?
I'm a big fan of Joe Rogan's content, I find Dwayne Johnson's stuff really motivating, but if I'm looking to do nothing but giggle, I'll watch Guz Khan's content.
