Meet The Team: Jessica Beattie, Marketing Manager

What do you do at Genflow?
I'm a Marketing Manager, working across our creator brands, covering everything from fitness, apparel to hair & beauty. I help manage the social accounts as well as create marketing activations and concepts for our clients.

What were you doing prior to Genflow?
I was Marketing Manager at GYMBOX, a London-based gym brand with outlandish one-of-a-kind classes and an amazing vibe! I'd been there for almost 6 years and had originally started as a Receptionist but eventually worked my way up to a Marketing Assistant then an Executive, and finally a Manager.

Describe your role in 3 words?
Fast-paced. Creative. Exciting.

The highlight of your time at Genflow so far?
Launching the SHRED IT Challenge, biggest ever challenge on SHREDDY to date! We had over 11,000 people sign up to take part and the vibe on socials was just amazing. The community were so engaged with the challenge and so supportive of one another, it was really nice to see my planning and ideas come to life!

Advice to someone who wants to work in marketing?
Never stop learning and stay passionate.

Marketing is a career where technology is constantly evolving and trends are constantly changing, so to make the most of your campaigns you need to be up-to-date with these, and think about ways your content and campaign can fit with them.

There are so many amazing seminars, newsletters and free courses available that can level up your marketing. The Drum and Campaign are some of my favourite industry newsletters sharing incredible campaigns from big brands which help with inspiration!

No idea is a bad idea and don't be afraid of sharing an out-there idea you've had, even if it's not right for this campaign, most likely it can be shaped with the team into something that works.

Your favourite creator right now?
@itsmetinx, her videos are hilarious and so relatable, I love that she doesn't take life too seriously and is all about having fun. She's like the big sister of TikTok and I just wish my younger self had a creator like her to take advice from. I also love @whitneyysimmons, I've followed her for years and her content is always so upbeat and motivational!
